Giving

Horizons at Saint David’s asks each family to pay an enrollment fee of $50 per year. All additional funding necessary for the general operation of the program depends on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations. We are grateful to our many donors and volunteers for supporting our efforts to make a difference in the lives of students from the Harlem community.

• $50 provides a healthy lunch and snack for one boy for one week
• $100 covers the cost of art supplies for 50 boys
• $250 covers the cost of science supplies for 50 boys
• $500 sends 50 boys on field trips to the Met and Guggenheim
• $1,000 Supports one class with twice-weekly swimming lessons
• $5,000 funds approximately one boy for the six-week program

Matching gifts

Many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Often these gifts can double or triple your contribution. To take advantage of matching gift programs, obtain a matching gift form from your human resources department, and complete and return it to Mrs. Hope Lippens, Executive Director, at nransone@sdshorizons.org with your gift. Many companies now have an online option for submittal of a matching gift. You will be credited for the total amount of your gift, including the match.
